PRESIDENT BUSH IN OKC
President Bush is in Oklahoma City today to attend a fundraiser for
Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain. In addition to the
fundraiser, President Bush is also scheduled to speak about
healthcare and present President’s Volunteer Service Awards to two
Oklahomans.

HUD WON'T COMMIT TO RESPA WITHDRAWAL
HUD is studying comments to its controversial proposed rules for
reforming federal settlement procedures and says it's modifying some
provisions, the agency
tells House members. Spurred by NAR and other industry groups, a
majority of House members have asked HUD to withdraw its rulemaking,
but in its letter to House members HUD doesn't commit to that.
