OAR Professional Designation Scholarship The Professional Development Scholarship is a competitive scholarship awarded by the Professional Development Committee usually twice per year (spring and fall). Applications should be received at least 15 days prior to the committee meeting. The committee considers scholarship applications that OAR receives in batches (January – August and September – January). If selected, you can receive up to a 50 percent scholarship per class (if funding is available).
Eligibility:
This scholarship applies only toward the cost of tuition for any REALTOR® designation. Examples:
GRI – Graduate REALTOR® Institute
CRS - involved in residential sales
CRB - management
CCIM - involved in commercial sales
Applicants must have completed ONE course toward their chosen REALTOR® designation prior to applying for scholarship in that designation.
Application Requirements:
I. Application
- A complete application packet must be received for each course for which you are applying.
II. Letters of Recommendation - please submit two appropriate letters of recommendation from the choices below:
- Letter(s) from principal broker of firm
- Letter(s) from other principal brokers
- Letter(s) from designees of chosen designation
- Letter(s) from appraisers with chosen designation
III. Updated Resume
IV. Committees – List OAR involvement (if any)
- Provide a summary of current and past committees you have served on (local and state level).
All scholarship award decisions of the OAR Professional Development Committee shall be final.
