OAR Member Benefits
ZipForm® OAR is proud to offer ZipForm® to its members free of charge. Members can log on to OklahomaRealtors.com/ZipForm and download any state contract form. Local associations have the capability of including their board-specific forms for use by their members. Choose from online or desktop access to provide maximum flexibility with this new tool. For more information on this new service, contact Jennifer Mauldin at Jennifer@OklahomaRealtors.com.
Health Insurance

OAR's partnership with BlueCross and BlueShield of Oklahoma offers an added benefit of your membership with us - group health insurance. Oklahoma is one of the first state associations of REALTORS® to take this step for its members. With BlueCross and BlueShield of Oklahoma, you can choose from the state's largest network of health care providers. Your claims are processed quickly, and you have knowledgeable, local representatives available to address your concerns.

Opening Doors Magazine

OAR's quarterly publication informs members about local board activities, statewide sales figures, national issues and how they affect our members. In 2007, Opening Doors changed to a full-color magazine format featuring additional columns and information.

The Threshold
e-Newsletter

OAR's monthly e-Newsletter gives members news from the Capitol and around the state along with the latest on classes and seminars.

LeadershipOAR Through this program, OAR identifies emerging REALTOR® leaders throughout the state, encourages them with motivational activities and assists in sharpening their leadership skills in hopes they will exert a strong positive influence on the future of their association and profession. A maximum of 14 participants work together in a training course that combines individual study, group sessions and actual project experience using leadership skills. Training sessions include identification of leadership skills, team-building exercises and procedures for goal setting, personal profile analysis, network building and improving communication skills.
Legal Information Line

This free service offers all Broker members a direct line to attorneys for questions ranging from real estate to employment law. The OAR Legal Information Line is designed to answer your day-to-day questions on the legal aspects of today's real estate industry. It has one purpose: to provide direct toll-free access for our members to a qualified attorney who can provide general information on real estate law and related matters. The service is available Monday through Friday during normal business hours.

Local Board Services

OAR provides local boards with resources such as leadership development, speakers for membership meetings, association executive professional enrichment opportunities and a liaison for assistance with national governance.

Lobbying and Government
Affairs

One of the Association’s chief roles is serving as an advocate for the real estate industry and the rights of property owners by aggressively lobbying the legislature and state agencies. An online Legislative Action Center guides members through the grassroots process of voicing their position to state and national lawmakers. Members also have online access to updated information regarding the progress of bills moving through the state legislature during the legislative session from February through May.

Professional Development

Members have many opportunities to further their education through OAR. The REALTOR® Institute program – in monthly 2-day modules – has helped the best and brightest achieve a well-developed understanding of the real estate industry. Candidates complete six modules and pass exams to earn the Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation. Post-license education credit and continuing education credits are also available through the Institute.

In response to appeals from brokers for higher quality education for incoming sales associates, OAR has established a real estate school to accomplish this goal. Pre-License and Broker License courses will be offered monthly by expert instructors in OAR’s state-of-the-art Conference Center.

The e-PRO certification course is specifically designed to help members thrive in the competitive world of online real estate. OAR has made it possible for e-PRO graduates to obtain 15 hours of continuing education credit for completing the certification.

Professional development is the primary focus of the Education Conference & Trade Show held during the fall. Besides the obvious benefit of edification and career development, members can earn a number of continuing education credits toward their licensing requirements at no charge.

Conferences Twice a year, OAR holds conferences with numerous educational offerings, networking and social functions.

Brokers’ Summits held once a year address specific hot topics benefiting different segments of the Oklahoma REALTOR® membership.

Oklahoma RPAC

Oklahoma REALTORS® Political Action Committee – along with the National RPAC – distributes funds contributed by members to further the candidacy of REALTOR®-friendly individuals in their nomination or election at the state, local and national level. This is a crucial step toward being successful in creating a better climate in which to do business.

Legal Action Fund

This is a special fund to defray costs incurred by legal counsel representing the state association, a local association, MLS or individual member, provided such issues are of importance to the entire real estate industry.

REALTOR® Building The Oklahoma REALTOR® Building’s state-of-the-art facilities provide features such as Internet-based videoconferencing, Wi-Fi computer hotspot and multiple-use meeting spaces with full-service kitchen. A menu of facility rentals is available on request.
OAR Web Site

OklahomaRealtors.com avails itself to members as the online version of a virtual phone call to the association offices. The Web site maintains a database of members for fellow REALTORS® as well as consumers. There are links to government and industry resources, statewide conferences, committee meetings, local board continuing education calendar, news headlines, and a growing list of other member services.
