Karel holds a BA in Human Resources and has earned numerous designations and certifications, including the prestigious National Speakers Association CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) and the Real Estate Educators Association DREI (Distinguished Real Estate Instructor).

Dr. Dean is an experienced regional economist who specializes in economic modeling and impact analysis for corporations, municipalities, state governments and other public and private institutions. He has provided analysis for some of Oklahoma’s most prominent institutions including the Oklahoma Bankers’ Association, Rural Enterprises of Oklahoma, Inc. and the cities of Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Sand Springs and Ponca City.

He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Oklahoma State University and a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma. Prior to his graduate training he worked in information systems for the U.S. Air Force, Electronic Data Systems and other Oklahoma companies. He currently serves on the Oklahoma State Board of Psychology Examiners and recently served on the operations committee for the Oklahoma Race for the Cure.
