Day 1 of this module is
devoted entirely to technology--from communications to the real estate
business. We'll start off with some basics but quickly take off to the
very latest and coolest technology out there. Bring your notebook
computer if you want to take some field trips along the way. If not,
don't worry; we'll post the links and notes on our GRI
Blog for review later.
(Day 1 $99)
Day 2 offers some flexibility for you. We have a special national
speaker coming to present the Certified Home Marketing Specialist
course. Martha Webb is the author of the course, which not only gives
you 1 CRS credit, it gives you an another credential, CHMS,
behind your name telling consumers that you're uniquely qualified to
market their home by "upstaging" the competition!
(Day 2 $199)

| GRI 302 |
This module offers some other
excellent "foundation" courses. Day 1 is all about new
construction. Chandra Hall brings Sticks & Bricks: Construction
Fundamentals & New Home Know-How. You're sometimes expected to
work with new homes, so you need to know some basics about their
construction. As a homebuilder, Chandra will give you a full day of
information and smiles.
Day 2 is another bonus to the 2008 GRI
curriculum. We provide you with the At Home with Diversity
certification. The course normally costs $129, but current GRI students
and CRS members receive a $30 discount. [CRS

This isn't your mother's GRI!
Brand new material, new faculty and new energy fill the classrooms each
month at GRI. If
you're contemplating beginning your GRI designation, you can start in any
month and have your designation in as few as six months!
You only have ONE year to get your Sales
Associates License
You can complete your post-license education requirement by taking Modules
101, 102, 201 and 202 in any sequence! At that point, only two more modules will
earn you the GRI Designation! There's no logical reason to do it any
other way and end up without a professional designation.
Take your designation to the bank! Today’s market expects the highest level of expertise from each REALTOR®. In both their heightened proficiency and
increased marketability, it is clear that REALTORS® who pursue professional
designations have a distinct competitive edge. A 2005 NAR Member Survey
shows that REALTORS® with the GRI Designation earned $84,500, while those
without a designation earned only $35,500.

What is the GRI designation?
GRI stands for Graduate REALTOR® Institute. GRI is one of the

made the commitment to provide a high level of professional service to
their clients by securing a strong education foundation. The REALTOR®
Institute program has helped the best and brightest achieve a
well-developed understanding of the real estate industry.
Increase your . . .

Why provisional sales associates should earn the GRI
You can fulfill your post license education requirements by completing
GRI 101, 102, 201 and 202 in any sequence and be 2/3 of the way toward
your GRI designation!
Through increased awareness of current topics important to the real
estate professional, you can better serve prospective clients and
customers.
The GRI designation is obtained by attending a specific, intensive series of
99 hours of classroom instruction.
A REALTOR® with the GRI designation is highly trained in many areas that
benefit their customers and clients including:
- Marketing
- Technology
- Cultural Diversity
- Professional Standards
- Contract Law
- Broker Relationships
The subject matter has been chosen to educate you about local, state and
national real estate practices that affect you, your clients and customers.
The knowledge gained during the GRI program can help you overcome obstacles
that can jeopardize a transaction.
Why Brokers Should Encourage Their Associates to
Earn the GRI
- Your sales associates will be more knowledgeable and productive.
- A recent
NAR study shows that REALTOR® members
who have a designation
earn an extra $42,000 per year.
- Students will spend only two days out of the
office each month for six month. Many years ago, students spent a week at GRI
around the state.
- A better educated sales staff helps reduce risk and liability.
- Associates with professional designations enhance your company’s image.
