| The Association Meetings Committee is one of OAR's
most active working groups. They meet 6+ times a year both in person and
via an online ListServ. Planning for the two large conferences OAR hosts
begins several years before the actual event. That's why they're such a
big success!
The first conference of the year is the OAR Membership Conference in Oklahoma City. It usually coincides with the opening of the Oklahoma Legislature at the beginning of February but also focuses on other topics like leadership development on the local level. Continuing education is an integral part of this conference, along with the inauguration of the new OAR president and leadership team. The second - and actually larger event - is held in the fall. The Education Conference & Trade Show moves between Oklahoma City and Tulsa each year, offering lots of continuing education, networking and exposure to the latest real estate products and services. Each night during both conferences, OAR hosts special events that include theme parties, receptions, dinner and dancing. The Membership Conference also includes the Inaugural Banquet, while the Education Conference has the REALTOR® Celebration naming Oklahoma's REALTOR® of the Year and newest Life Member Awards. |
